Temperate Zone Animal Area
A great portion of the world's land is in the temperate region. The temperate region is also the area most populated area by humans. Human presence has threatened or caused the extinction of many temperate animals. Many of the species on display here, such as the lesser panda, lynx, bears and wild horses, are rare even in their original range of distribution.
